Hello everyone!
Today I am happy to announce that Steelborn has (finally) entered the writing phase.
The story is now complete, and this marks the start of the primary phase, which is putting it down in words. Those of you who have come here via Youtube already know what Steelborn entails, but to those that do not, I will give you a quick rundown of the whole thing.
Steelborn is a short story to be written around the third era of WSA. Set in a sci-fi setting, the story revolves around a man named Raven, who is already mentioned on the WSA page.
During the annihilation and evacuation of Earth, Raven stays behind on the surface with no time to reach for the stars. Instead, he locks himself in a stasis capsule, in hopes of survival, and gets buried alive under meters upon meters of rubble.
Years of stasis later, the Gemini faction returns to Earth for a scavenging operation focused on, specifically, steel and copper. When Gemini slaves find the stasis pod with a breathing but injured human inside, they wake him from the grave and mend his extensive injuries with electronic parts. The slaves promise Raven a second chance in the form of a very powerful battery, in exchange for their freedom, as humans are physically much stronger than their species, which is why they are being used as slaves.
Raven agrees to help the slaves in exchange for another life, fuelled by ever-present lust for vengeance on those that left him behind to die.
There is no telling how long it will actually take for me to write it all down, but I expect it to take one to two weeks. More information on its release will become available soon.
